case hardening steels

Low carbon steel, which is softer and fragile and is a subject to additional surface treatment carried out by the insertion of carbon with margins between 0.65 and 0.95%. The process is strictly controlled, and the levels of carbon, as well as the depth of its penetration, are regulated as per customer’s requirements. This type of steel has very good wear resistance and endurance.

Main applications of case hardened steels:

  •  all kinds of land and maritime transport vehicles
  •  power generators - gear wheels, wind generators, etc.
  •  general mechanical engineering - forging press, shaping metal equipment, machine tools
  •  driving devices in the mining industry, excavation equipment and heavy-duty cranes
